In an effort to provide you, the Public, with more value for your dollar, FreeDonkeyPoster.com will move now to a daily schedule...that is correct - new content EVERY GODDAMN DAY.

Now, writing for me is a laborious process, and since I am busy -you know with my heavy tea-drinking and day-dreaming schedule, some of the posts on this site will be filler...but you should love it no less.

Think of these posts as one of your children - the one you secretly like less than the others, but you would never admit to...yes, that one.

ANYWAY, besides being time-killers and space-wasters, there is also social value in this service, which I am going to tell to you now - song lyric analysis. All too often we let the lyrics of these songs wash over us, and slowly the ridiculous and sometimes downright crazy ideas soak into our brains, and we end up having thoughts we cannot account for, years down the line.

Or perhap, it is just me that has this issue...no matter.  Today we will start with Jay-Z, and his semi-current hit song Empire State of Mind

No point going over any hip-hop song line by line looking for discrepancies - certain times poetic license earns its justification.  In one case though, I must make exception - it comes at the 1:49 mark of this video:

8 million stories, out there in it naked
City, it's a pity, half of y'all won't make it

HALF? Half of them won't make it?  For a song that is about how much you are all about NYC, Mr.Z, you seem to have a very distorted view of the realities of showbizness.  After extensive research, I have determined that less than 1% of people 'make it' [Editors note: bobkerolls' extensive research is actually reading a tangentially related (and aggressively non-scientific) response on Yahoo! Answers]

I guess if you have already made it, you lose perspective on how hard it is to be discovered...or maybe 8 million stories, out there in it naked/City, it's a pity, more than ninety nine percent of y'all won't make it fucks up the flow of the song...who can say for sure...
